Aucnet Auto Auction

This is the auction held from every Saturday to Monday in consecutive 3 days, using Satellite System. This auction does not have actual auction hall and storage yard but cars are exhibited from all over Japan with images. Average number of cars exhibited at Aucnet is about 7,000.

Participation in Aucnet’s TV auctions is limited to used car dealers who are members of Aucnet’s TV Auction system. Aucnet’s Watch Auction is open to all, but everyone wishing to participate must first register as a member.

Applications are available at all Aucnet branch and sales offices. You may also contact Aucnet directly for application forms and information on the approval process. Applications are thoroughly screened to ensure that all auction participants are fully qualified.

Aucnet has developed a carefully structured vehicle inspection system that is strictly applied to every car submitted for auction. Inspections are performed by Aucnet Inspection Service (AIS), the only such service in the industry. AIS inspectors visit member dealers to check cars to be put up for auction. Cars are evaluated based on a twelve-grade inspection system. There is no need to personally look over cars because these inspection results are an accurate and reliable reflection of each vehicle’s true condition.

These TV auctions are held as follows:

Used car auctions are held weekly, but each auction is a four-day event beginning on Friday and ending on Monday.

Motorcycle auctions are held every Thursday.

Flower auctions are held every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

A car consigned for auction for the first time is called an originally consigned car. Aucnet’s TV Auction system enables dealers to submit cars not sold on first consignment in subsequent auctions. A car not sold on first consignment can be submitted at an auction as an originally consigned car again only if it undergoes another inspection.

Aucnet last year acquired Network Limited (AUCSAT), a used car auctioneer in New Zealand. In addition to the auctions of Aucnet itself, AUCSAT offers its own Internet-based used car auction service through alliances with Japanese used car auction firms and leasing firms. As many as 250 used car dealers in New Zealand participate in this auctions. Exports of used cars from Japan to New Zealand are on the rise. With an annual export volume estimated at 100,000 to 130,000 vehicles, New Zealand has become the largest export market for Japan’s used cars. Aucnet welcomes participation by overseas used car dealers, considering it important from the standpoint of sustaining the growth and liquidity of its TV auctions.

Live Link Auction In addition to the Aucnet TV Auction, Aucnet also offers “Live Link” an auction service allowing members to bid on used cars offered at affiliated conventional auctions.

With the network of affiliated conventional used car auctions expanding rapidly, the volume of used car data available has also increased dramatically, further enhancing the value of Aucnet’s TV Auction.

Collaboration Network Auction In addition to the rapidly expanding “Live Link Auction” auction, the Collaboration Network Auction proves the competitive advantages offered by Aucnet’s used car TV Auction.

Toyota Auto Auction (run by Toyota-Usec Corp.) and Aucnet TV Auction members can now participate in each other’s auctions. Mutual participation has been realized by standardizing system terminals.

Aucnet TV Auction members can now access TAA database of about 300,000 vehicles.

All cars to be sold must be brought to the auction site at a specified time and all participants must be present in person at the auction site. Aucnet’ s TV Auction significantly enhances both convenience and efficiency. Since members can submit bids from their places of business, Aucnet’ s TV auction eliminates the constraints posed by cost and time and distance.
